One GT Grand Cayman: George Town’s newest development

One GT, Grand Cayman - George Town's newest development

Every so often, a project comes along that really piques interest and begins to gain momentum in a very natural way. Not through noise or over-promotion, but through steady progress and a quietly growing confidence in what’s being created.

That’s very much the feeling around One GT Grand Cayman. With anticipation building ahead of its Spring 2026 opening, One GT feels like a development people that are genuinely excited about.

Designed to feel part of George Town

Set on George Town’s waterfront, One GT offers a new level of contemporary, urban living in the Cayman Islands. The architecture is modern but measured, with a strong emphasis on light, flow, and spaces that feel comfortable rather than over-designed.

Feedback from a recent site visit by the Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty team suggests that One GT leaves a strong and immediate impression.

“What truly stood out is how thoughtfully the entire development has been conceived,” said Sheena Connolly, CEO/Broker of Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty. “There’s a clear vision behind every detail, and it’s easy to see how well this will translate into a highly enjoyable living experience for residents.”

The developer’s long-term thinking is evident in the way residential areas feel distinct yet connected, and how the development integrates naturally into George Town rather than sitting apart from it.

One of the most encouraging recent announcements has been the confirmation of One GT’s culinary leadership.

René Cahane has been appointed as Executive Head Chef and Norman Martinez will take the helm as Director of Food & Beverage, these signal a clear intention to make dining a central to the One GT experience.
Together, they will oversee three distinct restaurants:
  • Perle, a refined French-Mediterranean restaurant designed for evenings and special occasions
  • Byū, an Asian-inspired rooftop restaurant and bar that pairs bold flavours with panoramic views
  • Café Bellini, an all-day Italian café and bakery aimed at becoming a relaxed, everyday favourite for residents and locals alike
Rather than chasing short-lived trends, the dining focus appears to be on quality, consistency, and venues that people will return to, key to how One GT will settle into the local dining scene.

Amenities designed for real life

The facilities at One GT are generous, but feel purposeful. Wellness and fitness spaces, resort-style pools, lounges, and shared areas are designed to be flexible and easy to use.
The rooftop pool, a standout feature will offer a new perspective over George Town and its coastline. This space is designed to be used daily allowing owners to opt for a quiet morning swim or perhaps relax in the evening with a sundowner.

Anticipation builds toward spring 2026

As the spring 2026 opening approaches, interest continues to build at a steady pace. We’re seeing strong engagement from both local buyers and international clients who are taking the time to understand how One GT could fit with their lifestyle, not just their investment plans.
That considered approach is often a good indicator of a project with long-term appeal.

Seeing it first-hand makes the difference

Spending time on site brings the development to life in a way that plans alone can’t. The scale, the flow between spaces, and the connection between the building, the waterfront, and George Town all feel intentional.

There’s a real sense that One GT will naturally become a meeting point, somewhere people cross paths over coffee, dinner, or a walk along the water. This kind of ease cannot be manufactured it’s the result of thoughtful and considered planning.

A positive addition to Cayman’s evolving landscape

One GT feels like part of a positive shift in how Cayman is evolving, developments that prioritise liveability, integration, and long-term value over short-term impact.
As it moves closer to opening, it’s shaping up to be more than just a new development. It’s a place designed to be lived in and enjoyed, and will add a vibrant new energy to the George Town district.

We’re closely following the project as it comes to life. For those interested in the residences, lifestyle offering, or how One GT fits within the wider Cayman market please contact us for more information.
